The Dynamic Performance Scale (DPS) is a precise, science-based measurement system used to quantify the performance characteristics of our DPS range padel rackets. It was developed in partnership with TESTEA Sport Lab and gives you real, measurable data on how a racket will perform before you place your order.

What DPS measures

DPS rates each racket across three variables on a scale of 5 to 10:

Power: Calculated based on the speed the ball exits the racket after a high-speed impact. A higher power rating means more force transferred to the ball, useful for aggressive attacking play.

Control: Measured using the racket's weight distribution and sweet spot size against ball rebound metrics. A higher control rating means more predictable, precise shot placement.

Hardness: Determined by testing the rigidity of the racket's face and frame. A harder racket generates more power and durability but transmits more vibration. A softer racket absorbs more shock and feels more comfortable, but trades some raw power.

Why it matters

Most racket descriptions rely on vague marketing language. DPS replaces that with repeatable, quantifiable data. When you choose a shape and material combination in our design tool, the DPS ratings update to reflect exactly how that configuration will perform. If you order the same configuration again in future, it will perform identically.

Which rackets use DPS

DPS ratings apply specifically to our DPS range rackets. Our Carbon and Fiberglass ranges are built to professional standards but do not carry DPS ratings.
