Where both modes are offered, choose 3D for an easy overall visual preview or 2D for working with the product's flat artwork areas. The available modes depend on the product.
3D mode
A 3D preview helps you see how colours, graphics and wording sit around the product. It is useful for checking the overall appearance, but it remains a screen representation of the finished item.
2D mode
A 2D layout shows the available sides, panels or surfaces separately. This can make detailed placement easier, especially when you need to check several areas that are not visible together in a 3D view.
For example, a racket may show separate front and back artwork, while a ball may have several panels that form its finished shape.
Before changing modes
Save your work first. A design is not necessarily transferred automatically between modes, so changing partway through can mean starting again.
